Inquiries and Messages: The content of inquiries you send to property owners, your contact details included in those inquiries, and any communication exchanged through the platform.
Location Data: When you use the "near me" feature, your device's approximate geographic coordinates are used solely to display nearby rental properties. This data is processed in your browser and is not stored on our servers unless you submit a search.
Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and property view analytics. This is collected automatically to improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account and provide access to the appropriate panel (renter, landlord, or admin).
To display, search, and filter rental property listings based on your preferences and location.
To forward inquiries from renters to the relevant property owner/landlord via email (and WhatsApp, where configured).
To send notifications regarding inquiries, replies, and important account activity.
To respond to your questions and provide customer support.
To monitor and analyze platform usage, prevent fraud, and ensure the security of the service.
To comply with applicable laws and regulations in India.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

Between Users: When a renter submits an inquiry, their name, email, phone, and message are shared with the property's owner/landlord. The owner's contact details are not shown to the renter until the owner chooses to reply.
Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services — including Zoho ZeptoMail for transactional email, Google Maps Platform for location services, and Meta WhatsApp Business API for notifications — to operate the platform. These providers process data only as necessary to deliver the service.
Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. Property listings remain on the platform until the landlord removes them or the account is deleted. Inquiries and messages are retained for the duration of the account's lifetime to maintain a complete communication history. Upon account deletion, we will remove or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted password hashing (bcrypt), HTTPS (TLS) encryption for all data in transit, restricted access controls, and isolated hosting environments. Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use essential cookies and browser local storage for session management, theme preference (light/dark mode), and to remember your location for the "near me" feature. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
